POrtland Film Festival – October 12-18
Sponsored by Comcast NBC Universal, PDXFF was listed by MovieMaker Magazine as “One of the Coolest Film Festivals in the World.” Portland Film festival is dedicated to bringing a broad diversity of independent voices together on one stage. The festival will take place online, On Demand via Xfinity, and in Portland Oregon’s Hi-Lo Hotel, where you can rent a screening pod!
CAAMFest – October 14-18
CAAMFest is in its 40th year, with live virtual screenings, on-demand screenings, and drive-in screenings at Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. We are a very big fans of CAAM! From their website: “The Center for Asian American Media is a nonprofit organization dedicated to presenting stories that convey the richness and diversity of Asian American experiences to the broadest audience possible.”
BOSTON ASIAN AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL – October 21-November 1
Because of Ed’s ties to Boston and Emerson College, BAAFF is a homecoming of sorts. The 12th annual Boston Asian American Film Festival will be completely virtual this year, with Becoming Eddie available On Demand from October 22 through November 1 with the Alternative Realities Shorts Program. “BAAFF, New England’s Largest Asian American Film Festival, empowers Asian Americans through film by showcasing Asian American experiences and serving as a resource to filmmakers and the Greater Boston Community. BAAFF is a co-production of the Asian American Resource Workshop and ArtsEmerson.”
